The visit of the Trou aux Cerfs, extinct volcanic crater is a must. With
its panoramic view from the crater’s edge is breathtaking. A natural lake
lying in the crater of extinct volcano, Grand Bassin is sacred site for
Hindus. The feast of the god Shiva is celebrated here every year and the
holy water of the lake are covered with flowers and offerings made by pilgrims.
